Uzumaki Socks

I can’t help but love the name Uzumaki Socks. Don’t have the faintest idea if it means anything but the word is fun to say. Uzumaki. Priceless!

So here’s the sock progress. A few more inches to the short row heel. Once I get to the leg the fun stuff begins. It’ll be a spiral ribbed leg/cuff.

This is one of my own hand dyed yarns. Base yarn from Knitpicks last year. It’s the 100% Merino Fingering Weight, bare. It is NOT superwash. I have one more bare hank of this left and will by dying yarn this weekend, so get ready for some yarny pictures to come.

Rosemary was stashbusting last night. I grabbed three hanks of purple heather Pastaza, and a bag of tan heathered Lopi Lite. Plus some bare yarn to dye. I’m going to work on some colorwork with that Lopi Yarn. Actually the tan heather goes very well with the soft purple Pastaza. But it’s all vapor-ware at this point.

I have three projects I’m concentrating on. Mr. Greensleeves, Uzumaki (hee) Socks, and Michael’s second garter ribbed sock. I hope to get Michael’s sock done Saturday. I will do my morning knitting with that one. It’ll be quiet and I may hopefully get through the heel without LOSING EIGHT STITCHES. Sigh. I hate re-doing stuff. But I have to, it doesn’t fit as it is.

Have a great Friday Ya’ll! It’s nice outside, go take a walk.
