Ft. Worth Train Trip

On Sunday Chris and I travelled together by the Heartland Express down to Ft. Worth to meet two ladies from Ravelry. We wandered around the downtown area of Ft. Worth all afternoon and talked knitting. We had a great time!

The only picture I have is one I stole from Cheryl’s Flickr page:

Left to right, Cheryl, Chris, Me (looking grumpy, even though I wasn’t) and Holly.

I met these ladies in a round-about way. Cheryl was one of my early customers, and she is chatty in the sock knitter’s groups, so we got to know each other there. Chris lives here in Oklahoma City and I’ve met her at L&B Yarns once. Chris designed a fingerless glove using my Embraceable Superwash Merino yarn.

Holly, Chris, and Cheryl knew each other from the Fingerless Glove Fanatics group on Ravely. They have sucked me into their groups (there are several) and now I’ve found myself registered for a Hands On Retreat up in Chicago next May! (How did that happen?). Now I need to figure out if I can afford hotel and transportation. Hmmm.

New Lace Yarns

I will be stocking some Lace Weight Yarns soon! I will be getting a superfine laceweight in the Alpaca/Cashmere/Silk base similar to Nimbus Cloud. It is 600 yards per 50 grams, and it will be called Nimbus Lace.

Here is a picture of a hank I dyed and sold earlier this year:

I will also be stocking very nice Merino/Silk 80/20 blend in laceweight. I have not named it yet. I need to do that soon… Like today. My package is on it’s way to me with the new lace yarns in it!
